Having had an on-and-off romance with text adventures over the years and delving a bit into creating a couple of my own, I would dare to call them pure creations – without the burdened of aesthetics you can focus on prose and puzzles. Easier said than done! I’m in awe of the grandeur and scope of Infocom text adventures.
“Floyd” is also the name of an ifMUD bot that allows group play. Started in 2007 and is still going today, you can find transcripts of all their sessions online. Planetfall is in there too (albeit unsolved!).
