I LOVED the original Need for Speed. My go to monthly magazine was PC Format and I think it was them who offered a demo of NFS on the cover CD.
I loved every part of it. The soundtrack, the menu system, those amazing videos and of course the game. There were only videos for a couple of cars that you could watch, and one of them was the Dodge Viper. I can still hear the music for its video in my head now.
I bought the game soon after release and loved it.
I also got NFS2 and it either supported 3Dfx on launch or there was a patch and I thought it looked amazing.
