I’ve played this a couple of times as an adult and it really holds up. it does some things that the later ones can’t quite accomplish. the intro and the palace building stuff and ‘we love the king day’ are unnecessary but so immersive and fun. I think they lost that playfulness in later ones even if the gameplay is technically better. plus, nuclear Gandhi is just funny!
