@jan0sch feel the same as you do about the series: first was pretty, but mediocre; second was fantastic (has a cool protagonist too); third… I didn’t like though it had some interesting ideas going (different game paths).
Also, as @CarlosTex mentions, Klepacki’s soundtrack is simply superb. It’s more awesome as I recall he was very young (17?) when he made it.
