I’m playing through the expansion right now and it’s pretty amazing. And pretty brutal, even at the lower difficulty levels, sometimes even down to being sadistic (I’m looking at you, The Coiled City!)
The set pieces and sprawling size of the levels make it feel like an entirely different game. This expansion alone is worth buying the new DOOM + II re-release with the KEX engine from Nightdive, IMO.
