Hello from not-sunny Seattle!
-
Greetings from the Pacific Northwest. Specifically, right outside Seattle in the town known for the locations seen in “Twin Peaks.”
Those opening credits for the Season 1 TV show–the mountain, waterfall, giant log, etc? Right here. But sadly, don’t know a lot of DOS gamers locally. So am glad to join and be here. Been listening off and on for years.
Oh, and I’ve currently been on a run of DGC podcasts back-to-back after a several month hiatus. Guess the mood struck me! But been having fun learning a few new tidbits or getting insights into some titles I jumped off of to play other games at the time.
But my love of DOS games lingers. And over the past 15 years I’ve amassed a moderately decent collection of (mostly) DOS big boxes–typically titles that meant something to in some emotional way at the time.
Hey welcome. I just finished a rewatch of the whole series with the movie and everything. Very cool.
Oh wow, nice. We have a lot of tourists that come out here just for that. And there’s even a Twin Peak festival every year. 🙂 Plus I walk by the R&R all the time with the cherry pie and coffee. I’ve not watched Season 3 but recall them being here for the shooting, including actors etc.

Oh wow, you live on the set of Twin Peaks, that’s mad hahah
Hey, cool to see someone else from the PNW. You’d think there’d be more of a retro-tech scene here, but it does seem a bit sparse.
In Seattle’s defense, I do feel compelled to note that, at time of writing, it is in fact sunny outside, but whether that’s still the case 10 minutes from now is another matter 🙂
