That reminds me of a skiing game I once programmed in Basic. It was 100% text and basically boiled down to a choice of ski brands and amount of wax to use. The worst outcome was something like “YOU HAD A TERRIBLE DAY SKIING. YOU FELL DOWN, BROKE BOTH ARMS AND BOTH LEGS, AND YOU SMELL.”
