As a kid, my father and I played hours and hours of Accolade’s Mean 18 golf game. There was a time that I didn’t even have to refer to the manual to check on each club’s max distance – I had it all memorized!

It also came with a course designer and I put hundreds and hundreds of hours into designing golf courses. Such a smart move by the developers to include the designer with the game – I didn’t know anyone else who had the game but I wonder how many people would share courses they made with all their friends.

I just got passed what is probably the first real puzzle in the game and I admit I had to look up the solution, despite forcing myself to think on it for a couple days first. I felt like the solution made sense but was a pretty big stretch (or in this case, a curve).

I’ll keep plugging away at it but if the first puzzle had me stumped, I’m not too hopeful that I’ll be able to tackle the rest without hints.
