Amiga floppy disk into DOS
-
Greeting!
I have found a good buy on ebay for a job lot of 3.5 floppy disks. They are all copies and he says they are for Amiga. As I don’t have an Amiga, can I format them from there current format state to FAT using either windows of DOS? I mean will they ever work in IMB mode?
Thanks
If they’re High Density ‘HD’ disks (two holes) they’ll work just fine. If they’re Double Density ‘DD’ (single hole is usually DD) it will depend on the particular floppy drive you’re using.
But also if you do buy a job lot of Amiga Disks maybe you can check there’s nothing super rare in there before you butcher it into a dos disk? Q_Q
Most of them are just copies. i would not know what a rear game was anyway. but have a look at them anyway

Looks like many of them (all the disks marked AKAI) are audio samples for music production
I would hate to imagine how much time and quality you would get from 720KB of data in audio
If I win the bid then lets hope they will format to FAT
