Hello. My name is JF, or Jeff, and my online nickname is Loomattic90.
This is a reference to the video game masterpiece of fantasy storytelling from Lucasfilm’s Brian Moriarty (^^) (the first game I ever finished)
I am living happily in the French-speaking part of Belgium and I’m a fan of rock / metal concerts and festivals, as well as nature walks with my 6 year old dog Benji.
For a few years, I am a nostalgic of my old Siemens PC XT 8086 3 1/2 DD disk with CGA colours… and MS-DOS games in general !!!
As kid i had the chance to get access to PC gaming and its endless library of games at a low cost :
first on XT 8086 (Monkey Island, Double Dragon), then AT 386 (Civilization & Lotus 3), 486 (Doom 2 and Theme Park),
Pentium (Tomb Raider, Xwing vs Tie Figher), and finally laptop for the LAN party (Diablo 2, Half-Life and its mods), and Pentium 3 with launchers (Half-Life 2, Warcraft 3).
For 20 years I am a big fan of abandonware-france website and i spend a lot of time going through their database to revive the good memories.
Recently I was looking the internet for the latest twitch, youtube and podcast resources covering MS-DOS games to expand my retro pc universe
and I found out your very enthusiastic community with the same roots as me : somewhere between Netherlands and Germany (^^)
Since then I am trying to catch up with the incredible amount of podcast episodes produced between 2017 and now.
I am enjoying discovering new MS-DOS game that i have missed back in the days and also hearing your comments about the games that I have played already.
Also I like very much participating to the leaderboards / scoreboards competitions related to Stunts (4D car driving), Grand Prix Circuits etc. Maybe we need some more ?
I have a sleeping youtube channel created 6 years ago, perhaps I would like to add some CGA MS-DOS games capture on a regular basis?
