DOS version slower than Amiga?

I finally tried the DOS version and noticed it is noticably slower than the Amiga version. The DOS version is actually more playable. It doesnt suffer from the tediousness that was the HD remake, I can not exactly pinpoint why but the DOS version just feelsbetter. I dont think it’s a cycles thing because the music and sound all run at the right speed as far as i can tell. Gameplay is just slower.
I cant really decide wich version I like better, Amiga or DOS they both have their advantages.
