Earthworm Jim 1+2?

Do you intend to play and discuss both Earthworm Jim 1 and 2?
I probably will replay both games, yes.

Same here. I’m not convinced it ever saw a standalone release for DOS. Certainly the one I got had both games back then.
#EDIT# I have found a review hidden in the Pick N Mix section of the April 96 PC Zone that mentions it but also says that the sequel is coming out soon and will include the first game so not to buy it. A demo for EWJ2 was on the cover disk of that very issue.
I’ve started EWJ2, and it’s going much faster than EWJ1 did for me. I’ve done more than half of the game in a single sitting. Next level is ISO 9000 which I recall was a bit dull (obviously, that was the intent).
Controls are much tighter (better) compared to the DOS version of EWJ1. Platforming is easier.
Must say that I enjoy the filler levels (Puppy Love) less than the Andy Asteroids from EWJ1. They are more interesting of course, but they drag, and on Normal skill you can’t lose too many puppies before running out of health.
Another annoying thing in both games – hit Esc accidentally? Bye bye all progress. It returns you to the main menu without even asking for a confirmation.
I found the Esc key thing the hard way. I was trying to get to the options menu to change some things like key mapping. And boom! All progress lost.
I’ve finished EWJ2. I now understand the complaints about the difficulty of the last level. Psycrow’s speed differs significantly depending on the difficulty level. He is slow on Easy, much faster on Normal and almost impossible to catch on Difficult.
