    Since the Windows 3.x can of worms has been opened, I’d like to submit Spiderweb Software’s first game, the RPG Exile: Escape from the Pit.

    I recall playing the shareware version of at least the first if not all three Exile games on Windows 3.1 back when they came out and thinking they were really neat. I didn’t have the means to buy the full versions back then though.

    Spiderweb Software has remade the original games twice by now, and generously offers the original versions for free on their website:
