Although self-promotion/marketing/etc. doesn’t seem to be stated in the rules, I won’t directly link anything here unless someone gives me the okay. But long story short, I released a book (digital only for now) about the Win9x era, aka 1995 to 2001. It has 42 chapters on 555+ games, 3D cards, multiplayer services, etc.
I was led here because, recently, it looks like DGC has subtly shifted into the Win9x era with the podcasts/discussions. Considering there were over 5000 games released between ’95 to ’01, there’s…quite a bit to talk about. That era ran along at a baffling rate.
So, that’s pretty much me. I’m a part-time writer who finished his first ever book recently (I’ve written for music websites for over a decade but never actually published anything on my own). I’ve been a part of numerous specific game communities from the era, along with a few retro-focused FB groups and subreddits, but having a centralized focus like here is something that I wish I had found earlier. Better late than never lol.
