    I can’t participate in “first impressions”, because this is the sort of game I played the heck out of in the 80s and 90s. I revisited the Deluxe version few years ago: https://www.goodolddays.net/game/id%2C185/Empire-Deluxe.html

    Nice to read the thoughts of someone who “was there” as it were. My gaming days started almost a decade later than this so I have to real feel for the era in which it came out.
