Thanks! I just remembered that the podcast says to email it, but looks like this worked as well. and was thinking I probably got too late but looks like I was just in time!

I’m so sorry we missed this. I had planned to include it, but then forgot when we actually got to record it.

I called Florian, we both listened to your message and discussed it a bit, which we’ve now edited into the existing episode.

So that should fix it for new listeners! I’ll also bring it up on the next episode to tell people we added an extra voices message, so they can go back and check it out.

I think that’s all we can do! Thanks again for sending it, it really is a great message.

The 1.01 patch of the episode will be distributed through BBSs, PC gaming magazine cover disks, or by sending an empty disk to the DGC home offices with a return envelope and stamps included!

Thanks for the edit! I wasn’t expecting you’d be able to edit it in so seamlessly with new comments and everything!
And yes my dad would also mainly just bring home games for me, so I suspect he never played it but I will never truely know!

oh dear, if that process was ever a thing I can’t imagine how much pressure game developers must have felt to make their games bug free

Oh yes, that was most certainly a thing. I remember patches for Descent or Doom distributed over floppies. Though I don’t know if customers who previously bought the game were expected to pay for shipping and handling.
