Oh boy. This was the first PC game I asked my parents to get for me after we got our family PC. My friend had at least one of the EA’s hockey games on the Mega Drive. There was also a bit of a boom for collectible hockey cards in Finland (Teemu Selänne and all) right then.
I sunk countless hours into this game, played it with friends, played multiple full seasons. I also trawled through the player stats, looking for unusual or just better-than-expected players hidden among the scratched players. I don’t think those stats matched the reality of these players’ performances. I assume they were intended as easter eggs to be found.
