If you’re looking for a Japanese game that has a DOS release it doesn’t get much more Japanese than this

Princess Maker 2 (1993) has some unfortunate echhi elements, but I feel the gameplay is ahead of its time in other respects

Developed by Gainax of Neon Genesis Evangelion fame

Nice coincidence, just yesterday I was reading about this game and thinking about suggesting it, so thanks for doing so 🙂

I remember playing and finishing the game many years ago, was happy with the ending back then, as the daughter came to be a high-ranked King’s General when she grew up.
