This is a great idea! … with some caveats
1. Top 250 sounds quite ambitious. You’d need 10 people to select 25 favourites just to fill that out, and you’ll need 10x as many as this for a top 250 to be anywhere close to stable. I fear this would be too much to ask of the community. I’d recommend lower goals.
I’m not sure I could even come up with a list of 25 for myself, but then I’m not as much of a DOS enthusiast as some here. I fear I’d be scraping the barrel with games I know pretty well (but don’t particularly like), just to fill it out.
2. Would the 2+ hosts be talking about their *own* top 10 lists or the community’s top 10? I think I’d prefer the latter, but then the hosts might not know or like the games on the list that much themselves
If instead they talk about their own lists, then just how many lists are going to be presented? And what will become of the community’s list? I can see pros and cons of each option here.
3. I strongly feel this kind of episode would benefit from a couple of guests, and I think they should be guests who have a broad knowledge of DOS games. Can I make an advanced request for @Pix for this reason? 🙂 + someone else of his caliber.
