As you might (or not) know, Scorched Earth was created by a single person, namely Wendell Hicken. That fact alone is pretty cool imho!

My favorite part (the last sentence in particular):

Each house had a small room full of computers (6 to 10), and many hours which should have been studying were annihilated by Scorch parties. I left pen and paper for people to write down ideas, and many of the weapons came out of that.
